There are three different aspects in Sri Sri Yoga; the physical exercises, the breathing techniques, and the relaxation methods. All three aspects are taught and practiced with equal emphasis.
Physical aspects of Sri Sri Yoga, helps to improve our strength, flexibility and balance. People who are more flexible are always more healthier. Stretching in yoga helps to tone the muscle and releases lactic acid. Lactic acid is the one who builds up stiffness, tension and pain in our muscles. So when we stretch our body lactic acid in our muscle is released giving us relief from fatigue, neck pain, back pain and arthritis. In Sri Sri Yoga a combination of gentle and vigorous series of Asanas is taught for the well-being of the body and mind; and equal emphasis is placed on techniques for further nurturing the mind and spirit. This brings you back to your natural self thereby nurturing all the virtues that you are born with.
Breathing aspect is more important in Sri Sri Yoga. You will learn how to breathe correctly and experience the natural rhythm of our breath and the link between body breath and emotion. Correct breathing alone can relax your body rid your mind from unwanted tension, stress and worries. Deep breath also stimulates our nervous system to a rest and relax mode, which is the opposite of fight or flight mode. It gives you a proper understanding of the three stages of breathing and 3 types of breathing and how it works in our system.
The relaxation techniques in Sri Sri Yoga are more powerful. We are taught to relax during activity and conversely increase our awareness during rest or when we are still. We would be able to get a clear vision of rest and activity. Our body is like a bio chemical factory. When stressed adrenalin gets pump in to our system make us edgy. When we are calm and collected we get a healthy supply of oxytocin. This hormone makes us comfortable, trusting, and increases our sense of belonging with others and ourselves. Proper relaxation rests the body and energizes the mind which helps us empowering our relationship and personal effectiveness.
Sri Sri Yoga is an effective stress buster. When stress disconnects yoga reconnects. Sri Si Yoga goes through different phases starting with a unique 5 session’s 1st phase workshop. Sri Sri Yoga is to realize that your mind is dynamic, that your life is dynamic. Depression is the sign of static understanding about life. When you feel everything in life is dead, is static, there is nothing more, now to go, that is when you depressed. Hope no future, nothing to happen, this is that is, this is all there is. This static understanding about life, about the world about consciousness is responsible for inertia, is responsible for depression and all the misery. Just knowing that your mind your consciousness has a field of all the possibilities is a dynamic force anything is possibleand many things are possible.
